OK, since the light panel box is done, I am now starting on a sentry gun build.
At this point I am trying to spec out hardware for motion.
As all my builds go for real world accuracy, I am having to spec out things for recoil torque in mind. But on that same note, I can only add lights and sounds to the build, anything further is a big no no legally speaking.
Mil spec torque is 200 foot pounds.
The core issue with machine gones is the stacking effect of recoil on continuous automatic fire. No one as of yet has officially built a 50 calibur setup due to the torque of 100 ft lbs but that varies depending upon muzzle accessories. I try to over engineer so that nothing ever gets broke from severe abuse. The MG3 (post WW2 updated MG42) has a recoil torque of about 60 ft-lbs.
I may have found a pan slewing gear assembly with these folks:

With the tilt mechanism I will try going with gobilda:

They have a complete power distribution setup I can use, just have to buy it in pieces. I just have to spec out the pan mechanism to really spec out the power supply needs.
