Agreed; I think that ep5 could have been a more fleshed-out 1 1/2 - 2hr movie, ending with the Maginot landing [lets face it, it wasn't a real crash, it was more bad parking] on Earth, and roll end credits, series done.

Crew might have been annoyingly dumb / strangely wooden, but all that doesn't matter in light of how beautiful the ship interior /set-dressing was!

The finale was a little "meh" but overall I liked the series. It's a fitting expansion of the existing lore without going complete revisionist history (yeah, looking at you Alien Covenant).

It was nice to see the classic Pulse Rifle making an appearance and the interesting variants.

Now imagine in 1986 if the xeno's had been the one-bug army like the one in the series. Cameron's movie would have ended in 15 minutes! :D

I will be sincere. The series started ok, but it broke a lot of previous movie lore. A part of problems with the Prometheus and Covenant, it also creates continuity problems with Aliens, as in the serie (at least in Spanish), it indicates the Countries were abolished and the companies run the different territories. Therefore, if there are no more United States, how can US Colonial Marines exist several years later?

Besides, I am not very happy with the serie from half of it to the season finale. I know people who love it, but it is not my cup of tea. I am debating with me if paying for the subscription of Disney+ to watch the second season.
